The Vezere Valley is known as 'The Cradle of Mankind' - there's so much evidence of our early ancestors, you will be staggered. Famous sites like Lascaux are 10 minutes from our house - the cave you visit is a stunning replica, the paintings are every bit as impressive as the original.

Our Archaeology Tours take in the some of best the area has to offer - but it's not just archaeology - loads of other activities and places to visit are close by. You can fish (the Vezere’s a short stroll away), canoe, cycle, ride, mountain bike, quad bike, play mini-golf, walk or visit adventure parks and trails. All ages are catered for, the hands-on Prehisto Parc or Roc de Cazelle are great for children.

Le Moulin du Champ is mid-placed (18mins) between the Cathedral City of Saintes and the ancient Naval – now Pleasure – Port of Rochefort.

Moulin de Mousque a 12th Century Mill in the Heart of Gascony.
