Domaine d'Arnauteille **** - Montclar - Languedoc-Roussillon Domaine d’Arnauteille is a very attractive camp site about 15km from Carcasonne, surrounded by beautiful landscape. What used to be a farmer's cottage and outbuildings now serve as a reception, camp shop and restaurant with a lovely terrace and brand new sanitary facilities. The terrain is varied, and height differences offer some excellent views. The ‘Club Enfants’ organises children's activities in high season, and they will also have fun in the recently built swimming pool. So you'll get some peace! For fun on the water you should go canoeing on the River Aude, or on the large lake at Cavayère or to the Mediterranean beaches (about 90km). La Nautique *** - Narbonne - Languedoc-Roussillon La Nautique camp site lies just south of the historic city of Narbonne. Right on the lake of Bages where you can swim, canoe, surf and sail to your heart's content. The Mediterranean beaches are 10km away and the camp site naturally has a swimming pool with water slide and toddlers' pool. There are sports activities and entertainment for all ages, but only if you want them. There are pleasant static caravans and all camping pitches have their own private facilities. The children will really love a trip to the water theme park near Narbonne and the safari park near Sigean. But you must not miss the famous fortified town of Carcassonne or the fort at Salses. Le Canigou ** - Espira-de-Conflent - Languedoc-Roussillon The friendly and active Camping Le Canigou lies at the foot of the Pyrenees. Surrounded by spectacular nature it is only 55km from the Mediterranean beaches at Perpignan. The attractive terrain has different levels and the pitches are separated by shrubbery. Equally natural is the mountain stream that crosses the site. Its source is high up in the Canigou which gives its name to the camp site. It has been dammed to create a clean natural pool for swimming and other fun. Perfect for children! There is a larger recreational lake at Vinça for surfing and canoeing. This site is a must for sports fans, an international team of professionals can organise a day’s rafting, abseiling, mountain biking and other adventure activities. La Vallée Verte *** - La Roque-sur-Cèze - Languedoc-Roussillon This beautiful family camp site is perfect in every way. Delightfully peaceful and situated on the picturesque River Cèze where you can swim to your heart's content or go canoeing or fishing. Not far away is the big brother the River Ardèche, the world famous Pont du Gard, picturesque Uzès and the delights of Provence: Avignon, Orange and Carpentras. Pure South of France and with a unique character! Such as the immaculate surroundings where the sun shines all year round. No wonder that Vincent van Gogh painted many of his most famous works here.The well maintained natural terrain is divided into terraces and features a lovely swimming pool with a separate shallow section for young children, and clean modern facilities. For example whn the children want to play in the sand or in the sea and you want to have a snooze in your own little spot on the camp site... Or if you want lunch 'at home' during a day on the beach. Practically everything you want is close by; shops, restaurants, water sports facilities. Back on the lovely level site you can make use of the swimming pool with waterfall, sun terrace and sun loungers, and a small playground and mini club for the kids (in high season). Add to this the bar serving light meals and you have a small but very complete camp site! For day trips (within 30km) the fantastic water theme park at Cap d'Agde, the touristy Sète or the sophisticated Montpelier are all best reached by car. Le Clos Virgile **** - Sérignan-Plage - Languedoc-Roussillon Le Clos Virgile camp site lies about 400 metres from a fine sandy bach. What's the betting you will spend at least one day by the water? But the camp site itself will be no worry for the children. There are two swimming pools, an exciting water slide and a separate toddlers' pool around a sun terrace. The terrain is level with plenty of shade, and has two playgrounds and various sports facilities. Friends for the entire holiday are easily made at the tennis courts, the basketball field or the nearby stables. But it's no hardship to take a day out. To charming Béziers for example or to the water theme park at Narbonne and Le Cap d’Agde. Further inland you can make a delightful canoe trip on the river Orb. You'll be spoilt for choice! Taxo Les Pins *** - Argelès-sur-Mer - Languedoc-Roussillon Taxo les Pins is in many ways a very complete camp site. The best example is the lovely swimming paradise with bridges, an island and a heated jacuzzi. And of course a separate toddlers' pool and play equipment. But you will probably spend many hours on the beach at Argelès-sur-Mer (3km). Just laze around, surf, build sand castles or play beach tennis on the tide line... And in touristy Argelès-sur-Mer itself you'll find plenty of atmosphere: street cafes, shops, discos, cart tracks and excellent restaurants. But keep a day free for a visit to Perpignan or a drive along the coast to Spain (30km). And spoil the children with a visit to the water theme park 'Aqualand' (6km). No problems for anyone!
