We are a very small "Camping à la Ferme" in the mountains of southern France,
close to the Spanish border and 50 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea.
In the high season we rent out 6 completely equipped"de Waard" tents (sleeps 4-5) which saves you the bother of packing your own camping things.
We also offer a 2 person appartment, a chalet (sleeps 6) and at the moment we are finishing an other large part of the house, that sleeps eight.

Completely equipped"de Waard" tents - sleeps 4/5 |
Before July and again after August you can come with your own tent.
The campsite is right beside a river with large pools for swimming and shallow parts for paddling.
We are surrounded by wild and rocky mountains; fantastic walking country.
We have 10 donkeys and 3 horses (bring good boots if you want to ride) and our neighbour organises pony trekking excursions up onto the Spanish border.
You can eat a vegetarian supper with us, 3-4 nights a week.
We bake bread and make jams & chutneys and also have a small shop here.
The area
The long distance coast to coast footpath (Grande Randonnée, GR 10) crosses our land and ancient paved mule tracks lead to neighbouring villages, abandoned farmhouses, solitary chapels and even across the border to Spain.
The Vallespir is the most southerly valley in France, stretching from Le Boulou in the east to Prats de Mollo in the west. The river Tech links a string of market towns of mediaeval origin and there are many remnants of the regions rich history to be visited: castles, forts, towers, roman chapels and monasteries, for these mountains have served both as a barrier and as a link between the Gaules to the north and the Moors to the south.
The sacred Canigou mountain with its three peaks on the northside of the valley is considered the heart of Catalonia. The present French-Spanish border now divides the region although the Catalan language is used on both sides. Culture and folklore reflect the independence of the Catalan people and the traditional festivals are enthusiastically celebrated.
The Mediterranean coast is 50 minutes drive away, with long sandy beaches to the north. To the south there are rocky headlands and picturesque fishing villages where the unusually clear light has attracted many famous artists including Picasso and Dali.
