private unshared Indoor Heated Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi &
optional Sauna is situated in landscaped gardens with koi
carp pond (unfenced) in a haven of peace & tranquility yet
walking distance of the village of Erbray and only 8kms
from the famous market town of Chateaubriant.

It is a perfect location, whether you wish to visit Brittany,
the Loire Atlantique, and the other close regions of France,
or even just relax on the deck outside the heated pool following
a relaxing hour or so in the sauna or jacuzzi...

ERBRAY
Erbray Village
is within 5 minutes walking distance. A typical lovely
French village situated by a lake, with its own baker,
hairdresser, bank, Post Office, pharmacy, 2 cafes,
one restaurant and local doctor. Tennis Court only
1km - 9 Hole Golf Course only 15kms.
CHATEAUBRIANT
has a
wide
choice of restaurants, bars, bakers and three large supermarkets.
Chateaubriant is a 10 minute drive from the property and
is in the triangle of NANTES/ANGERS/RENNES
all of which are within approximately 45 minutes drive
away, and well worth a visit. It
is also conveniently placed for visiting the historical
cities of Nantes, Rennes, Angers and Laval. La Baule and
the Atlantique coastline are only one hour away.
The
Fair of Béré
(held in September) dates back to 1049, and is
one of the most popular fairs in the region. The church
of Béré
is one of the oldest Romanesque churches in the Loire-Atlantique.
The tourist office is open from Monday to Saturday and
is situated near St. Nicolas' church, rue de Coueré.
Here are just some of the places
of interest in the area.
The Château
of Châteaubriant
is open between June and September, and can be
visited by appointment. The gardens are open all year.
The Château
de la Motte-Glain replaced a former stronghold
in 1496. There is a XVth Century Chapel with frescoes,
and an African trophy exhibition. (15 minutes drive).
The Château
of Craon built in 1770, is filled with furniture
from the epoch and is set in beautiful gardens with a
one acre park. (35 minutes drive).
Mont
Saint-Michel, although a longer drive,(about 2
hours) is well worth a visit...
The
Museum Robert Tatin (1902-1983) at Cossé-le-Vivien
(10 minutes or so north of Craon) is a curiosity well
worth visiting. The entrance avenue is filled with strange
sculptures even before entering the museum itself.
