This traditional Provençal house has a very pleasant garden with mature trees, colourful flowerbeds and a large grassy area. There is a lovely private pool with wide steps for easy access. It is surrounded by a fence and also has a security alarm. The area around the pool is spacious and there are loungers, plenty of garden furniture for outdoor dining and an electric barbecue.
15km from the coast.
There is a pergola under the oak trees and another one by the pool, and there is also a little cabin with a fridge for cold drinks. There is parking within the property. The interior is an interesting mixture of antique and modern styles.
This is an excellent house for a holiday and we think it represents good value for money. The owner has a studio in the grounds of the property where she sometimes stays if people are late arriving on the Saturday night, or want to leave early on the last day of their holiday.
Self catering Accommodation
On the ground floor there is a large living room, 45m², with two comfortable seating areas, satellite television and CD player. There is a formal dining area with French windows leading to the garden.
The kitchen is separate and is well-equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and electric kettle.
There is a utility room with a washing machine. There is a downstairs bedroom with king size bed, 180cm, and there is a bathroom which has a bath and shower, and separate W.C.
Upstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed, 140cm, and a bedroom with two single beds, 80cm, which may be pushed together. There is a second bathroom which has a bath with handheld shower and W.C. There is another separate W.C.
A cot is available upon request.
Situation
The house is situated 1.7km from the nearest boulangerie and local supermarket. There is a choice of restaurants within 2-3km including the excellent Mas des Geraniums about 2km.
There are tennis courts and a golf course 3km, and horse riding is available 4km.
The picturesque village of Valbonne is about 4km; this is a lovely old village which has a lively square with cafés, restaurants and boutiques.
Opio is about 8km from Grasse which has plenty of shops, restaurants as well as the world famous perfumeries.
Mougins is another pretty village about 10km; it is renowned for its excellent restaurants.
The coast is about 15km and there is a great choice of beaches within easy reach: Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and Cannes.
There is a water park with rides called Marineland just outside Antibes.
From Cannes there are boat trips (15 minutes) to the beautiful Iles de Lérins.
Linen and terms
Linen may be hired from the owner for a supplement of EUR 12 per person. Refundable damage deposit EUR 450 cash. Electricity is extra.
