Carpe Diem, Massangis near Vezelay, Burgundy - Bed and Breakfast
Located between Noyers and Vezelayin Burgundy within easy reach of exit 21 of the A6. Ideally placed for visiting the Burgundy and Chablis vineyards.
This former 19th century farmstead has been renovated and now provides quality guest accommodation at reasonable rates. Table d'hôtes available including wine.
There are three double guest rooms, each with private shower and WC. A first floor room has its own sitting room while the other guest rooms have independent access and additional single beds on a mezzanine.
The rooms
La Provencale
Double bedroom well furnished and comfortable. Situated on the first floor of the main house, it has a private ensuite bathroom and WC, completely modernised and fitted with a large shower enclosure. Stone walls and Burgundy stone floor.
La Pastorale
Indpendent access double bedroom with its own shower, sink and toilet. Wall decorated with red and white Jouy fabric.
La Romaine
Independent access double bedroom with its own shower, sink and toilet. Walls decorated with blue Jouy fabrics.
Table d'Hote
We offer a four course meal starting with an aperitif in the salon followed by a starter, a main course produced from local ingredients, regional cheeses, homemade desserts and Burgundy's wine, served in the Dining room.
There is no passing traffic, so the house is very peaceful. Breakfast is normally eaten outside, either in the shade of the barn roof if it is very hot, or in the sun on the southern terrace of the house if it is not too hot.
During winter dinner is served near the fireplace and on hot days on the terrace. |
