Villavailhan, Vailhan near Pezenas, France - Pool - Sleeps 2/ 8
The villa is in the calm friendly village of Vailhan situated in the national park in the region of Languedoc Roussillon provence.
Vailhan is just a fifteen minute drive from the picturesque medieval town of Pezenas,
five minutes from the rural village of Roujan and a mere twenty five minutes from the Mediterranean Sea.
The villa is situated with the south facing terrace and garden trapping the sun all day. Or if preferred, a canopy can be stretched across the terrace as an ideal shade. The stunning views from the terrace are typical of what you would find in any national park area. The terrace overlooks the resident farmer's vineyards, while in the distance the mountains and local nature can be admired daily.
The resident eagle can be spotted in the nearby crags of the rocky small mountain and the abundant variety of birds is a fascination even to those who have no knowledge of the species. While relaxing on the terrace, you can soak up the sun, view the stars at night or sit and watch the world go by.
Self catering accommodation
The villa is a good size for a family. Three bedrooms are available, the main room contains a double bed the other room has two single beds and the third having bunk beds. If required, a double bed can be utilised from the settee in the living room, allowing up to eight people to stay in the house at any given time very comfortably.
The living room is large and spacious and has a large dining table which seats up to eight. The kitchen is fully equipped and also has a table and chairs.
The bathroom is fitted with a separate shower and large bath.

A Dining table which sits eight people is situated by the terrace windows for great views of the country and local bird life. side corner settee which also converts into a bed to sleep two adults.
Utility room has a washing machine for your own use, Rotary washing line provided in the lower part of the garden all lining and towels are provided Iron and ironing board are provided as well.
Bicycles are there for your use along with a bicycle pump and puncture repair kit. One Male & Female bicycle and two children bicycles at the moment.
There is the opportunity for you to sample some of the local produce, cooked to your own specification on the barbecue situated in the garden or if you prefer a quick dip or swim in the nine by six metre swimming pool.
The village boasts a classic French style restaurant bar "l'Auberge du Presbytère" its situated in the grounds of the church and is in the overhang of the lake the tables are full with charm and user-friendliness to hold. There is also a daily bread delivery service that delivers fresh croissants, pain au chocolate and a variety of traditional breads from the local boulangere.
For other food provisions a quick visit to local Roujan will adequately stock up on depleted supplies or if preferred a visit to a larger super market can be made in the next town of Pezanas.

The area
There is a lake that is frequently used by the villagers and visitors for swimming and sunbathing this is a five minute walk from the villa. During the summer period there is a lifeguard at the lake like a majority of the lakes in the area.
Ideal place for a stroll or bicycle ride around the site of Olivettes, to discover an exceptional wildlife and a floral in abundance on a site which has remained wild. Hiking road marked out.-Bathe on the water level with accesses to shaded areas arranged for picnics.
Further along the road at the top part of the lake which is far larger offers the opportunity for fishing or just picnicking the quite country roads allow you to cycle for miles, (bicycles are available at the villa).
