French Catalan Farmhouse set at foothills of the Pyrenees with the Mediterranean, ski resorts and Spain within 45 minutes.
Comprises 5 bedrooms, 2 lounges and 3 bathrooms and a new pool. Set in the valley of the River Tet, with the dramatic backdrop of Mount Canigou, Mas Rouby is situated at the foot of the pretty village of Joch. This region, nestled between the Mediterranean, the Pyrenees and Spain, has something to offer every kind of holiday maker.
The Interior of Mas Rouby
Mas Rouby is decorated and furnished to a high standard and is centrally heated. The swimming pool was installed in 2006. The lounge is provided with plenty of comfortable seating, a log burner fireplace and TV with access to Sky together with a DVD.
You will find 5 spacious bedrooms: 2 doubles, 1 twin, one bedroom with a set of bunkbeds and one dormitory on the top floor which can sleep 4 to 5, together with a shower room. The main bedroom has an en suite and there is one family bathroom with spa bath on the first floor.
The kitchen/diner has fully fitted cupboards; a good-sized cooker; fridge/freezer; microwave; dishwasher; washing machine and separate dryer.
There are plenty of cooking utensils and more than enough crockery and glasses! You will find a decked balcony outside the kitchen door which will give you a fantastic view of Mt Canigou!
On the top floor there is a childrens'/teenagers' sitting room which has a TV and DVD. Lots of floor cushions and beanbags so they can flop, plus plenty of games, table football etc.
The Exterior of Mas Rouby
A good-sized secluded garden with a new swimming pool. Adjacent to the house is an off-road parking area with space for up to 4 cars.
Behind a stone wall, the 8m x 4m pool is enclosed by a fence, and is set into decking which provides a dining area furnished with teak chairs and table, together with BBQ.
The lawn provides space for relaxation and games including use of the badminton net and racquets, and a table tennis table. Bicycles are available at the house for your use. The 2 adult bikes have toddler seats.
Local activities include:
* A leisure lake at nearby Vinca where there is a lifeguard on duty
* Tennis can be played on the local court in Vinca
* 4 x 4 trips to the top of Mt Canigou
* White water rafting and Canyoning about 10 minutes away
* Golf - 9 hole course 15 minute drive, 18 hole at St. Cyprian about 30 minutes
* Diving, sailing and windsurfing can be found at the nearby Mediterranean beaches
* Skiing is easily accessible at the nearby resorts of Pyrenees 2000, Les Angles and Font Romeu, all of which are about 45 - 60 minutes' drive through the most fantastic scenery.
* Sighting and exploring in the Pyrenees can be carried out on The Little Yellow Train which runs from the ancient town of Villefranche de Conflent up into the heart of the mountains.
* A wide range of restaurants - Prades has a good selection and there is a small friendly restaurant and bar in Vinca.

Rates for Mas Rouby
Rental is per week from Saturday to Saturday with arrival at 16:00 and departure at 10:00 during the High Season. A deposit of 25% is requested at time of booking with balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A returnable damage deposit of £200 is required when the balance is due.
