Reached by a third-of-a-mile drive, Kilmaronock House is Scottish baronial in style built right next to the romantic ivy-covered ruin of 15th century Kilmaronock Castle.
Ishbel and Richard welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast in their magnificent guest room suite - a canopied bed in a double-height bedroom with a gallery sitting room, another canopied double bedroom or a further twin bedroom.
The house and castle are close to Loch Lomond, (about 12 miles north of Glasgow and 30 minutes from Glasgow airport) in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and there are views of the Lomond Hills from the bedroom windows.
Kilmaronock is very central for exploring The Trossachs, visiting Stirling, St Andrews, central Scotland and east and west coasts. Edinburgh is only about an hour away. It is also only a mile from the West Highland Way. There are lots of good restaurants and pubs in the area, including in Drymen a mile away. Fishing can be arranged on the Endrick River which is reached by crossing the fields directly from the garden.
Accommodation:
The Lomond Suite. Double bedroom with canopied bed, wall-mounted flat screen TV, complimentary drinks, chocolates and cappuchino/expresso machine. The gallery up the stairs has a TV, books and sofa bed for children. (No extra charge for children under 12 sleeping here!). Bathroom en suite with jacuzzi bath, separate power-shower, basin and wc.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the dining room or in your bedroom if you prefer.
Porridge, toast, tea, coffee, home-made jams and marmalade. Home made bread, and cooked breakfast - as you wish.
Ishbel tries to use organic ingredients where possible, and is happy to cater for any special diet you may have, with advance notice.
Tariff
£95 for the double room per night based on two people sharing a room, and including breakfast. (No extra charge for children under 12 sharing with parents in the double room).
£85 for the Queen's View double room per night.
£70 for the Endrick Water twin room per night.
£60 for a single person in a double room.
£40 for a single person in the twin room.
Ishbel can prepare packed lunches if you like.
There is free wireless internet access throughout Kilmaronock House - and if you wish to plug in your computer Ishbel is happy for you to you to use her office.
