Rochebonne is a small Chateau at the edge of a village, close to the sea not far from La Rochelle. As well as the Chateau there are 7 independent cottages with 2-6 bedrooms, they do not overlook the Chateau and each have their own grounds. Each cottage has its own fenced garden, but there are big shared grounds, a huge pool (all fenced in) and a kiddy play area with swings and slides, sandpit etc. Games room with lots of books, videos, DVDs, table football, ping-pong etc. Linen available, also high chairs, cots, stair gates etc. Click here for more details and pictures of the cottages.
The area
There are miles of sandy beaches in this area, many within a few minutes drive. Wines, golf, all water sports, markets, a famous zoo at La Palmyre, ancient fortifications, Fort Boyard, horse riding, tennis and a lot more all within very easy reach. Amazing old towns of La Rochelle and Saintes nearby.
