LOCATION:
Ginouillac is located almost equidistant between the rivers Dordogne and Lot, on the western edge of a limestone plateau which which has recently been designated a, parc natural, LES CAUSSE DU QUERCY, stretches over to the start of the Massif Central. 400 metres above sea level, the air is beautiful and the views are stunning.
Our nearest town is Gourdon (20mins) and the nearest city is the beautiful medieval city of Cahors (35mins) and Rocamadour, the second most visited site in France is only half an hour drive away. From Cahors you can travel up river to the totally unspoilt village of St Cirq La Popie.
There is a horse riding school on the edge of the village, and the hiking is really good. This part of France is criss-crossed with Grand Randonees (way marked long distance footpaths) you can wander all day with hardly ever seeing a road or a car.
HOW TO FIND US:
A20, junction 56, turn left direction Gourdon after Senierguers 4th turning on right signposted Ginouillac , when you reach the middle of the village turn left at Marie after passing two farms on right the gite is on the right.
