Set in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera Mountains the unique moorish style Cabrera Village offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside which is shared with wild boar, Partridges and much other wildlife.
A peaceful holiday is on offer whilst only a short drive away from the beach. All Properties have ben built to reflect the moorish heritage with the village resturant having been built within the remains of a medieval church, itself built on the original moorish settlement.
The bungalow style property has two bedrooms both en-suite and air-conditioning throughout, there is a breakfast room which also has washing machine, ironing board and a large fridge freezer.
The fully fitted kitchen has oven and hob, microwave, toaster etc. and offers fresh filtered mountain water from a special tap.
It is surrounded by orange and lemon trees with a patio with built-in Barbeque.
Relax on the roof sun terrace which offers wonderful views of the village and beyond, or have a beer and Tapas at Fatima's Restaurant and Tapas bar. Also in the village is the Los Pasteros restaurant which offers take away pizzas and a full a l'carte menu.
In the nearby valley there is the local Almazar bar and restaurant run by Antonio and his sister and Los lemoneros which has it's own pool , international food with a fine wine are offered here.
The pool is owned by a small number for the villagers and is completely enclosed with a gate and security entry key, it is not a plunge pool but a large size swimming pool, relaxers and sun shades are provided free of charge.
There is horse riding nearby as well as tennis in the village or take a trip to Granada to see the world famous Alhambra palace. For the kids half an hours drive away is the Western theme park where many Hollywood westerns have been shot.
Nearby is the famous white walled mountain village of Mojacar which has it's own feasts and festivals including the "Moors and Christians" stunning views from the terrace are not to be missed.
For the beach there is Mojacar Playa where you can park on the beach or sit in one of the beach bars which offer fine food at reasonable prices.
Gurrucha with it's port and fine fish and seafood restaurants is just along the coast. A little farther but only 15 mins drive is the vast expansance of Vera Playa
