Le Clos de Balanède *** - Châtel-Guyon - Auvergne
Camping Le Clos de Balanède near Châtel-Guyon lies on the edge of Des Volcans nature reserve, so all amenities are close by. The three swimming pools, one of which is shallow for toddlers, guarantee fun in the water. But the playground and crazy golf will also give hours of fun! The trees in this former vineyard ensure a level camp site with a green touch. Speaking of greenery, you really will have to explore this nature reserve. Fantastic panoramic views can be had from the 1.5 km high Puy de Dôme. The area just bursts with rivers which are ideal for swimming. Château de Grange Fort *** - Les Pradeaux - Auvergne
Château de Grange Fort is in every sense of the word an unusual and very beautiful family camp site. The site is situated around a characteristic castle, on a hill, with wonderful views of the surroundings from many of the pitches. As it can be extremely warm you have a swimming pool and separate toddlers’ pool at your disposal, and you can also swim, fish and canoe in the River Allier which runs alongside the estate. Moreover the camp site has a lovely indoor heated pool, guaranteeing plenty of fun in the water, also in the low season. The sauna, fitness room, friendly bar with billiards complete the picture. But there is also the surrounding area. Be sure to visit the sturdy castles, the rustic villages and the medieval heart of Clermont-Ferrand. Discover the Puy de Dôme with its amazing views and the Puy de Sancy where the Dordogne has its source. You will have to adjust to the spectacular nature!
