Relax within the depths of the beautiful, tranquil Charente countryside in this carefully restored and converted barn.

Perfectly suited and equipped for Holiday accommodation.

Restored in 2001 the barn is converted into six privately owned units, with shared Garden and pool.
Each having it's own private terrace area.

With three double bedrooms and two bathrooms it can comfortably sleep six people.

 

Self catering holiday accommodation
Living/Dining Room - spacious open plan beamed living/dining room furnished with two sofas, dining table and chairs, radio/cd player. Small selection of books and games to suit all ages. Ceramic floor tiling and beams throughout the ground floor. A Godin wood burning stove for out of season use which heats the entire house, can be complimented by electric fan heaters.

Kitchen - fully equipped with fridge freezer, automatic washing machine, electric cooker.

Shower room - good sized with enclosed shower, w/c and wash basin and towel warmer.

First Floor
One double bedroom and one twin bedroom overlook the pool and garden. The other twin bedroom has a velux roof window. Polished pine flooring and exposed beams throughout the first floor.

Spacious bathroom with shower over the bath, wash basin and w/c and towel warmer.

Outside
Private terrace with patio table, chairs and sun umbrellas. Selection of sun loungers and charcoal BBQ. Has a shared three quarter of an acre garden beyond the fenced pool area. There is also a small garden area at the front of the house. Well away from main roads and with only one access road to the property.

Local Area
Whether it be Chateaux, Vineyards, Historical Architecture, pretty villages, unspoilt sandy beaches, and all manor of outdoor activities or just relaxation, this is something for everyone. And with a wide choice of fantastic local restaurants to try.

Les Fosses is an ideal holiday destination for all seasons.

Aubeterre is 10km away voted one of France's 100 prettiest villages. Aubeterre sur Dronne has an 11th Century Church, excellent restaurants and shops. It overlooks the river Dronne, where there is a sandy beach, safe communal play area, boating and canoeing.

St Severin is 5km away and has a small supermarket, bank, post office, doctors and pharmacy.

Riberac is 16km away larger than St Severin it has a greater selection of shops, supermarkets, banks etc. On Fridays there is a big open air market where you can buy all manner of local produce.

40km Angouleme- Capital of the Charente, there is a TGV train link with Paris.
45km to St Emilion
50km to Cognac- With all the major Cognac producers, well worth a visit.
50km to Bergerac- With an airport- Ryan Air charter flights
80km to Bordeaux - Large city with airport, masses of history and things to do. 90km to Atlantic Beaches- Unspoilt, sandy and safe Including Arcachon, Royan, La Rochelle.
