Unique - a 15th century, royal, hunting lodge beautifully restored to cater for your 21st century needs.
If you’ve ever wanted to stay in a castle, this could be the mini-version of your dreams. Enjoying an elevated position overlooking a vast country scene to one side, with chateau, lawns & 18th century columns to other.
Set within walled grounds of a beautiful 5 hectare park with lime tree walks, pool, tennis courts & orchards, you have an abundance of space & history.
The chateau complex is set in a village with a shop (mini-supermarket), bakers and café/restaurant (all within a few minutes walk - really). There are also many markets and reasonably priced restaurants in the nearby surrounding areas.
La Tour has accommodation spread over 4 floors.
The kitchen is fully fitted with oak units, fridge/freezer, oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher and automatic washer/dryer. Off the kitchen is the dining room, which is furnished with a large oak table, chairs and china/glass cabinet.
Patio doors lead out from the dining room to the very large and secluded wrap-round terrace, with table, chairs, loungers, BBQ and fantastic scenic views. The ideal place for alfresco dining and wining!
On the next floor is the living room, which has an impressive stone fireplace, leather chesterfields, TV/DVD/Stereo, etc., and large French windows opening on to a small balconette, providing amazing views on one side, with south facing windows towards the chateau on the other.
Upstairs, there is one large bedroom, again, with double windows on each side of the room (and the views are even better). There is also an ensuite bathroom with WC, plus a separate WC on the landing for guests. On the next floor there are two more double bedrooms (each with twin beds) and a large shower room with hand basin and WC. The whole building has electric central heating, with underfloor heating on the two lower levels.
La Tour is fully furnished from top to bottom with sheets, towels, etc., leaving you plenty of room in the suitcase for those holiday clothes!
Due to the layout of La Tour, it is probably not suitable for the very young or elderly. Most of the floors are wooden, as are the staircases, however, there are rugs throughout and the stairs are fitted with carpet pads all the way up to the top.
We cannot take pets and La Tour is non-smoking.
