Over two hundred years old, Les Fleurs comprises of three gites, sleeping 2, 6 and 8 which retain typical French farmhouse charm, whilst providing the comforts of home. Just a short drive away are world famous zoos, Futurscope, historic chateaux and even the Vendee beaches. Local markets will provide you with the freshest ingrediants. Local wines will tempt your palate.
The swimming pool, paddling pool, children’s play area with toddler slide and swings for all ages. are situated in a garden which basks in sunshine from early morning until sunset. There are numerous sunloungers, tables and chairs. We offer evening meals served in either your garden/patio or in the comfort of your gite, baby sitting is also available
The gites are situated just outside Les Verchers just 4 kilometres from the centre of the market town of Doué La Fontaine, famous for it's wonderful roses and rose garden, yet just 15 minutes from historic Saumur with its glorious chateau towering above the ancient town and romantic river, all set in the heart of the glorious Loire Valley, France.
The area is steeped in history with many superb chateaux being open to the public. Wine tasting is available everywhere, where you can sample the wines that have been made by the same families for generations.
There are few places that can offer more for your vacation. Golf courses dot the region, cycling,(cycles for hire), wonderful walks, bird watching; fishing, water sports and hunting are all close by. You can also take a private flight over the Loire with your personal pilot and host.
Soleil - Sleeps 8 + cot
Soleil has been transformed into a truly magnificent gite. We have retained the origional beams in the large lounge & dining room, giving a feeling of charm and history.
The semi circular kitchen, with origional flagged floor and wine press, is fully fitted and has a range style 8 burner cooker. The entrance hall, with toilet off, leads to the lounge and also french doors to the private patio area. There are three bedrooms, two double and one family room and three shower rooms.

There is a children's play area with toddlers slide, swings climbing rope and many trikes and outside toys, Boules, and Swing Ball. Guests are invited to sample our strawberries, raspberries, apricots, pears and other fruits.
Anjou - Sleep 6 +cot
Anjou this wonderful typical farmhouse, which is all on the ground floor , is nestled amongst the vineyards, surrounded by stunning countryside, filled with sunflowers, maize,and vines which provide a wonderful backdrop to this glorious area in the Parc National. Yet only 5 minutes from Doue la Fontaine and 15 minutes from stunning Saumur with its fabulous chateau and magical Loire River. The beaches of the Vendee are within driving distance.
Within easy driving distance of the ferry ports and the option , of flying with the low cost airlines, into Poitiers, Angers or Tours.
Anjou has three double bedrooms, comprising of two double and one twin room. The comfortable lounge, with a wonderful wood burning fire, dining - room and kitchen are all separate making for spacious accommodation. The kitchen is fully equipped, cool and inviting beckoning you to try your hand at some French cooking. The lounge has TV, video, hi fi ,cd's ,videos, games and books. Separate bathroom and toilet.
The thick walls of the gite , keep one cool in the heat of the summer and has the benefit of central heating , making it a year round holiday home. There is a secluded garden with garden furniture and BBQ.

Lys - Sleeps 2 + cot
Lys is perfect for two. The lounge is very comfortably furnished, having a TV, DVD. hifi., DVD's, books and games. The delightful kitchen / dining room is open plan, the kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, cooker and microwave. French doors lead onto a very private decked patio with BBQ and garden furniture.
The main bedroom is on the L shaped mezzanine floor, Also a double futon which can be divided off by a full sized screen. There are outstanding views across the countryside from the bedroom windows. The bathroom has a shower, hand basin and toilet.

Attractions
Les Verchers is a tiny village, but happily boasts a boulangerie serving scrummy cakes and breads, you will be served by a very friendly and completely French only speaking lady who will happily give you whatever you point to.
There is a huge supermaket....SuperU just five minutes away where you can buy everything you could possibly want from petrol to wine to cheese!
Doue la Fontaine boasts a number of shops, coffee bars and restaurants including two Troglodyte (cave) restaurants where you will enjoy a meal in a unique atmosphere and surroundings.
There are lots of bars and restaurants in Saumur whether you just want to sit with a drink and watch the world go by or enjoy a scrumptious meal.
Many of the villages have festivals, particularly at vandage (harvest time). Great fun is had by all and you will be made very welcome. Everywhere you go the people are remarkably friendly and helpful, especially if you are brave enough to attempt some French.
