A villa with studio apartment (let as one whole unit and not separately) situated just off the Rue de l'Atlantique, the road between Talmont St Hilaire and Port Bourgenay and Le Veillon beach all of which are about 3 kms away.
Port Bourgenay is a modern marina with public launching facilities.
Situated in the south of the Vendee, Talmont St Hilaire has a medieval chateau, which has jousting and son et lumiere events in the season, a sailing lake, swimming pool and several equestrian centres.
THE HOUSE (sleeps 6/8)
The house is surrounded by a large garden and offers all modern amenities whilst retaining its French character. The main house is light and airy with three large bedrooms (1 double bedded and two twin-bedded plus cot), bathroom with bath and shower, separate toilet, fully fitted kitchen with microwave, dish washer and dining area and a very large lounge/dining room with an open fire and TV/video/DVD.
There are two extra zed beds and a cot. The twin beds can be made up into large double beds if necessary. The large garden has a barbecue, garden furniture and garage containing bikes for general use.
THE STUDIO (sleeps 2/4)
The studio is a new conversion and is entirely self-contained although also accessible from the main kitchen.? It has all modern conveniences including shower room with toilet and basin; well equipped kitchen with washing machine, fridge, freezer, ample worktops and lounge/dining area with table, four chairs and double bed settee.
The bedroom is on the mezzanine floor accessed by a wooden staircase and has two single beds which can be put together to form a large double bed.
Talmont St Hilaire
Situated in the south of the Vendée, Talmont St Hilaire has a medieval chateau, which has jousting and ‘son et lumiere’ events in the season, a sailing lake, swimming pool and several equestrian centres. The famous Musée de l’Automobile is just up the road and there is also an excellent 18-hole golf course within 3 kms. Talmont is well served by local shops and restaurants and has two banks. The cinema opens during July and August.
The Atlantic coast has some of the best beaches in France and Le Veillon beach, which is about 3 kms away, is excellent for surfers and young children alike. The Vendée cannot be bettered for a family holiday and boasts a sunshine record equal to the Riviera. It has long, gently shelving beaches, fishing ports and small resorts dotted along the coast which become lively in high season. Les Sables d’Olonne is the largest resort in southern Vendée with a long promenade and busy quayside restaurants. St Gilles Croix de Vie is a colourful fishing port with excellent seafood restaurants.?Sables d’Olonne is 13 kms to the North and La Rochelle is 97 kms to the South.
From Talmont St Hilaire one can also explore lovely countryside, fascinating islands, deep forests, vineyards and stately chateaux.
