Self-catering accommodation in a traditionally built Galician house, with a 10 metre swimming pool, in the secure, quiet hamlet of Luneda. It occupies a rural setting on the fringes of an extensive wooded hillside close to the Portuguese border.
River beaches on the river Miño are only 15 minutes away and beaches of the Atlantic ocean plus surfing, both in Portugal and Spain, are all less than an hour away.

The area:
A five minute walk takes you to the local village with a bar and small supermarket.
Tomiño, the nearest town, is five minutes by car and has two supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks, and plenty of shops.
There are many interesting places to visit.
Santiago de Compostela is only an hours drive away, and nearby are the fortress towns of Tui in Spain and Valença in Portugal.
Close by in La Guardia is Monty Tecla with its re-constructed Celtic village.
The bustling historic town of Bayona lies on the Atlantic coast and is a popular stop off point for yachts setting off to the Caribbean. From here it is also possible to catch a ferry to the Isla Cies with, according to The Guardian, the best beaches in the world.
The region, known as the Rias Baixas, enjoys a micro-climate with temperatures into the 30s during the summer months. Known for its Albariño, an excellent quality white wine, it is possible to visit various vineyards and enjoy the wine tasting. There are local, often family owned restaurants who take great pride in their cuisine, with seafood as a speciality.
Many cultural events take place throughout the year including a wine fair in July celebrating the different wines particular to this area.
Several of the villages have their own gastronomic fiestas.

We can provide mountain bikes for anyone wishing to explore the surrounding area,
canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting on the river Miño, sailing, surfing, horse riding, walking, cycling and golf cater for all tastes.
