The village has a Spar supermarket, several boulangeries, boucheries, chartuceries and a tabac/presse. There are local weekly markets in both Argeliers and Capestang and a much larger Sunday market in Narbonne.
The Mediterranean beaches are a very easy 20-minute drive away (Valras Plage, Narbonne Plage, Vias and Cap d'Agde). For families with children there are numerous attractions, including the Sigean Safari park, horse riding, many amusement parks and water parks.
The local countryside offers walks and rides along the canal towpath and around the spectacular countryside. Carcassonne and its medieval cite is a great day out, as are the many small villages in the immediate area, each offering their own locally produced wine, and restaurants. For the more adventurous there is hang-gliding from the top of the foothills behind the village!
